My Favorite Cleaning Products

You already know that cleaning is not my favorite thing to do. I do, however, do it on a schedule because I would have a very dirty house if I didn’t. I’ve tried many cleaning products throughout my years. I started with the ones I knew, then moved on to trendier, fancier product and now I have settled on somewhere in between.

Favorite Cleaning Products

Here is the list of cleaning items I use on a regular basis:

1. Cascade Action Packs – Obviously these only have one use and that’s to get your dishes clean in the dishwasher. I like these so much better than the powder. I always found with the powder that it was messy, I didn’t know how much to put in the machine and there would be residue on my dishes. The pods are amazing. You always have the perfect amount and I find that my dishes are really clean afterward. No more residue. Plus, there are always coupons in the paper for these. I stock up when they are on sale.

2. Ajax – I know this is an old school product, but I really haven’t found anything else that cleans as well as this does. I use it to clean the kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, toilet bowls, bathtub – pretty much any surface. I especially love it for the toilet bowls. I think it works so much better than that blue stuff you put in there that just gets stuck under the rim.

3. Clorox Wipes – I always have Clorox wipes on hand in several places throughout our home. I use them to wipe down the kitchen counters, the stove and even the cabinets after I cook. It’s just so easy and you know your surfaces are being disinfected.

4. Windex – I don’t really know of any other way to clean your glass surfaces other than with Windex. It’s tried. It’s true. It works. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

5. Pledge – We have a lot of wood surfaces in our home. I use Pledge to clean them all. I dust them frequently and use pledge about once per month. I’ve never had a problem with this product, and I am always pleased with the outcome.

6. Swiffer – We have laminate floors in our home. They’re not in the best condition and so I use Swiffer wet jets to mop the best that I can {I get on my hands and knees with clorox wipes for the spots that won’t wipe up with the swiffer}. It’s not ideal for major cleanings, but it’s great for spot cleaning your floors. I also adore the swiffer dust sweeper pads. I can dust things in a jiffy. If you can’t afford these, I can tell you that an old sock also works wonders!
