Easy and Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies

Let me start out by telling you that these cookies are not healthy. They are made the conventional way and are delicious, but by no means are they low in sugar or do they fit into a low-carb diet. If and when I make these, I may eat half of one cookie just because they are amazing and I cannot resist. Otherwise, I freeze them and make them periodically for my fiance.

Easy and Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies

You will Need:

1 C granulated sugar

1 C brown sugar

1/2 C {1 stick butter}

1/2 C unsweetened applesauce

2 eggs

1.5 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

3 C all purpose flour

12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips {you can also use dark chocolate chips or white chocolate chips}

1. As always, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Gather your mies en plas and set aside. In your stand mixer, fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together your butter,applesauce and both kinds of sugar.

2. Add in your eggs, and vanilla and mix until combined. Your batter should be nice and creamy.

3. Mix all your dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet, until combined. Do not over mix. You can stop as soon as you see no more flour.

4. Mix in your chocolate chips. This will take only about 10-15 seconds.

5. Using your favorite scoop (I like these) scoop even size portions onto your prepared baking sheet (this is a huge help for me!). Bake for about 9-12 minutes depending on the size of the cookies and how chewy/crunchy you like them.

6. When your cookies are done, let them cool for a good 5-10 minutes before digging in. Enjoy!

Happy Baking!
